'As winter begins and we enter the dark season, we may feel the need to rest more, to go inwards. Our body needs respite from the everyday and good nutrition to support it over the winter months. Our immunity can be supported not only by what we eat but also the quality of our sleep, exercise, how we work but also by the support of our mindfulness practice.

- Mindfulness as Nourishment - 

During this retreat we will be looking firstly at the basics of supporting our immunity during the winter months with a short talk by Jacqueline Swift, functional medicine therapist - from The Limes Clinic Boughton near Faversham - and then turning our attention towards our mindfulness practice as a means to resource ourselves during the dark winter months. The day will be restful quiet day of gentle movement, mindfulness meditation & deep relaxation. With a wonderful  and nutritious  lunch of soup or dhal provided by the amazing Wasted Kitchen - all overlooking the beautiful Swale Estuary.
